The mad scientist Dr. Durray, Dr. Frankenstein‘s last living relative, works in his secret lab on a horrible new serum, for which he needs the blood of young, scantily clad women. As if this was not enough, Dracula and his ancestor‘s creation, Frankenstein‘s monster, are helping him with the task. »Dracula vs.Frankenstein« is a wild ride all across low-budget-cinema that makes ampleuse of elements of exploitation and sexploitation films and was marketed with the tagline »Yesterday they were cold and dead. Today they‘re hot andbothered!« Director and B-Movie pioneer Al Adamson cast his own stockbrokeras Dracula, used aging Hollywood-stars in other roles, rewrote his screenplay numerous times and threw all possible genre elements in a blender, creating anabsurd horror-cocktail that still turns stomachs. Using J. Carrol Naish and Lon Chaney Jr. in their last cinematic appearances, »Dracula vs. Frankenstein« hasbecome a milestone of the B-Movie scene and was torn apart by critics in itstime, only to ascend to cult status today.
