CLOSING NIGHT GALA

UMRIKA

Indian director Prashant Nair’s second feature follows a young man who travels to the big city in order to find out what happened to his older sibling, who is said to have left for the USA (hence the “Umrika” from its title), but was never heard from again. The film stars “Life of Pi”’s protagonist Suraj Sharma and Tony Revolori, the bellboy from “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. “Umrika” won the Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be jointly released in German cinemas on 19 November 2015 by ASCOT ELITE Entertainment Group and CAMINO Filmverleih.
