The Oldenburg International Film Festival was listed by “Moviemaker Magazine” as one of “the 25 coolest Film Festivals in the world 2015”.

Indian director Prashant Nair’s second feature follows a young man who travels to the big city in order to find out what happened to his older sibling, who is said to have left for the USA (hence the “Umrika” from its title), but was never heard from again. The film stars “Life of Pi”’s protagonist Suraj Sharma and Tony Revolori, the bellboy from “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. “Umrika” won the Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be jointly released in German cinemas on 19 November 2015 by ASCOT ELITE Entertainment Group and CAMINO Filmverleih.


H8RZ (USA 15) – Derrick Borte – World Premiere

THE LONG WAY HOME (ESP 14) – Sergi Pérez - German Premiere

A most unusual and intimate film about the loss of a loved one. Sergi Pérez lets his tragic hero Joel go on a 24-hour odyssey to rescue his dog Elvis.

MEET ME IN MONTENEGRO (USA 15) – Alex Holdridge and Linnea Saasen

Anderson and Lina fall in love, lose each other and find each other again. An authentic, warm and highly entertaining declaration of love to Love!

POLDER (GER/CH 15) – Julian M. Grünthal and Samuel Schwartz –International Premiere

The mysterious firm "NEUROO - X" developed with the "Red Book" a game that logs its users from reality. A world of digital nightmare.
