Following its popularity, the talented duo turned their show into features with »New Kids Nitro« und »New Kids Turbo«, which were instant box-office hits. When Ron painfully figures out that his wife Angela cheats on him with practically every guy in sight, he has to take on his last big challenge. She dares him to prove his manliness by bedding Holland’s hottest young starlet – otherwise she will divorce him. For Ron this is worse than any broken bone. Good things that his last stunt got him a new agent who also represents just that girl. While Holland’s infamous terror-comedy-collective “New Kids” is still more interested in the sediments of human dignity than in more nobler forms of the „condition humaine“ and their humor is still very much focused on their characters’ agony in a punchline-by-punchline fashion, they have certainly brought their cinematic vocabulary into full flower. Their slow-burn humor would make Laurel and Hardy proud, while their praise/homage to the Anti-Hero now has Georgio Moroder’s cheesy Scarface-song „Push it to the Limit“ as his personal hymn. And the action sequences can compete with some from the best James-Bond-movies, even though they usually end in more unwanted mayhem.
