Working as a storyboard artist and assistant director on Amat Escalante’s “Sangre” and Carlos Reygadas’s “Battle in Heaven”, his feature debut “La Influencia” premiered in 2007 at Director’s Fortnight in Cannes.

After years of absence abroad, career obsessed LA-based Spanish film
director, Olivier, discovers an erotic website that that features his half-sister, Aurora (Pan’s Labyrith’s Ivana Basqueo, in an award-winning breakout role). Immediately captured by what will become fuel for a deeper obsession, he’s inspired to return home for a visit. And reunited after years apart, Oliver becomes fascinated by his much younger half-sister’s life - and covertly places a hidden camera the eye of a tribal statue that stares from its shelf into her bedroom – and soul. She is blissful, naïve, and seems equally fascinated by her older brother. But restrained urges awaken in her when she discovers she is the object of her sibling’s darkened desires. With a boiling narrative that tackles the tragedy of incest in an age of ‘selfies’ and the fleshless and soulless pursuits of online ID’s, award-winning filmmaker, Pedro Aguilera, pushes boundaries of comfort with his exhilarating, erotic, and challenging eye.
