JVA Oldenburg

The JVA Oldenburg continues to be a festival location. Oldenburg is the only festival showing part of its regular program in a prison. The idea is to not only provide the inmates with a cultural acitivity that becomes part of their reintegration but also to give festival visitors a look at everyday life behind prison bars. The festival aims to create a bridge between the closed confines of the prison and the lively festival atmosphere thus highlighting the fact that prisoners are indeed still part of our society.
