Mira Sorvino honoured with Star of Excellence on the OLB Walk of Fame

Together with OLB CEO Dr. Achim Kassow and festival director Torsten Neumann, Mira Sorvino unveiled her star on the OLB Walk of Fame in front of the bank’s main building.

The big event on the third day of the festival was a huge success. Among the flashlight of the photographers and the applause by the fans Mira Sorvino revealed her star on the OLB Walk of Fame. In attendance at the glamorous event were all the other guests of the festival, Oldenburg’s mayor Prof. Dr. Gerd Schwandner and the OLB board of directors: Dr. Achim Kassow, Dr. Thomas Bretzger, Jörg Höhling, Katrin Katerbau and Hilger Koenig.

Celebrated actress Mira Sorvino is one of Hollywood’s most diverse talents. She had her breakthrough performance in Woody Allen’s “Mighty Aprhrodite”, which won her an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Critic’s Choice Award. At this year’s festival she heads the all female jury and presents her latest film UNION SQUARE together with director Nancy Savoca.

The sixth star on the OLB Walk of Fame is the first one going out to an Oscar winner, which adds additional glamour to the impressive list of celebrities enshrined there. Together with the OLB, the long standing main sponsor of the festival, 2007 the first star was given to Stacy Keach. The next four stars went out to Seymour Cassel, Peter Lohmeyer, Matthew Modine and Deborah Kara Unger, who attends this year’s festival as a guest.
