First Speed Pitch 2010 in Oldenburg

For the first time the festival teams up with Creativity Media and Wirtschaftsf√∂rderung Oldenburg to include a Speed Pitch at the festival, giving aspiring filmmakers the chance to introduce their projects to members of the film industry. The festival has invited members of production companies looking for quality projects to develop. Among them are Travis Stevens of Celluloid Nightmares (founded after the merger of Celluloid Dreams and XYZ Films) and producer Patrick Fischer (one of his films was Love Live Long from Oldenburg International Film Festival 2008). Starting now and running until August 20th the Oldenburg International Film Festival is taking applications by email, fax or letter. All that is needed is a project description in English for a feature length film (either cinema or television). The writer, director or producer of the project just has to send a project-description. Download of regulations and entry form is possible via

Speed Pitch is sponsored by the Wirtschaftsförderung Oldenburg in the frame of the EU project 'Creative City Challenge', which is focusing on the promotion of creative businesses by creating networks between economic development agencies and creative entrepreneurs. The aim is to enhance the creativity and innovation of the city of Oldenburg and the Northwest region and to enlarge existing networks and creating new ones. One aim of this event will be the encouragement of discussions and exchange between filmmakers and film financiers.
