»SCISSU at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal«

On Sunday, September 20th the film SCISSU by director Tom Bewilogua won the “German Independence Award – Best German-language short film”. The jury, consisting of Iris and Tom Sommerlatte and Martin Hornig based their decision on the following criteria: “The film unites many strong points to a surprising ensemble. Visual power, a non-linear narrative style and outstanding actors are interlinked and form an innovative and daring film.” Due to the cooperation of the Oldenburg Filmfest with the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal SCISSU will celebrate its Canadian premiere and runs in the competition for the „Loup argenté“ prize. If SCISSU succeeds in Montréal it will qualify for the screening for the Academy Awards in the “Best Shortfilm” category.
